back fence

these fences and garage doors are from mount hawthorn, leederville
and north perth. i won't give precise locations, well, because
they're all laneways which should be discovered on your own,
like i did. but some of them don't have street names at all.
these back lane paths are ideal models for streets - wide enough
for seldom use by one car; short cuts; walkways for lots of people,
bikes, tricycles; it's where your family comes together after
school to kick the ball around. but really the best part is that
they aren't maintained like the front fence is. they are left
to melt away, back into nature. paint peels cos its shit, and
eventually there is a reveal of true nature and raw material--steel,
wood, stone, brick, concrete block, tin. it rusts with the rain
and no one minds.
