st. denis

funny what you find when you walk ten minutes left of your house: a monolithic church with a sloping roof and foreign influences. the architect rossen came over from rhodesia in the early 60s, and this church was built in humble joondanna in1968.
hiding behind the trees on osborne st.
steps ascending from the car park,
leading to this hand-painted door with a lot of boys' names...hmmm no there is a judith in there.
entrance portico.
if you like this sort of expressionist architecture i would recommend a bit of niemeyer, le corbusier in india, or my preferred lubetkin who had some urban design in mind for penguins.
